Football season is just around the corner (Yay!) I have to be honest, even though I enjoy all the tailgating fun, I don’t understand the game itself (Tell me I am not alone!) My husband though, is a big football fan. When we host a Game Day party at our house, I am always in charge of food preparation and party decor while my husband keeps the atmosphere going with sports talk.
We are happy to be teaming up with Coca-Cola™ to share our favorite ‘no fuss’ entertaining ideas and a fun step-by-step recipe tutorial on how to make quick & easy football inspired mini pizzas you can whip up in 15 minutes!
My husband and I like to tailgate at our house and enjoy great food and drinks with close friends before and during the games. To keep it simple, we always plan an easy menu we won’t have to spend too much time in the kitchen and of course, a menu that offers a fast clean up after party.
For a budget friendly gathering, we like to serve store-bought drinks, appetizers and snacks. Family Dollar carries most of Coca-Cola products and a great variety of Wise Product snacks. You can choose between the traditional potato chips, onion rings and if you have friends with more adventurous taste buds, the jalapeno puffs are an excellent choice. They pair really well with any of the Coca-Cola products!
You will need something delicious and hot to pair with your game snacks and soda. Score big with these mini football pizzas! They are super easy to put together and I promise, it will be a crowd-pleaser! You can also make them ahead of time and just pop them in the oven right before your guests arrive.
Let’s get started on this mini football pizza, shall we?
Ingredients:
- Mini pre-made crust pizza dough
- Olive oil
- Pizza sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pre-sliced pepperoni
- White string cheese
Instructions:
- Gather your ingredients.
- Using a brush, gently coat the pizza dough with olive oil.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly.
- Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella.
- Top with pepperoni forming the shape of a football.
- To mimic the lace, use white string cheese.
*Bake it following the instructions on the pizza crust package. Enjoy!
For extra fun, spruce up clear glasses with white labels to resemble the football lace. It adds such a nice touch! Your friends will enjoy sipping their Coca-Cola and Sprite out of them. Finish the look by adding festive paper straws!
