Hello, friends!
To celebrate the release of Sherlock Gnomes in theaters on March 23rd, we threw a fun garden inspired party for the kids! How fun is that? We are totally excited to have some quality family time and take the kids to watch it!
They’re on a mission to bring every gnome home. After a string of garden gnome disappearances in London, Gnomeo & Juliet look to legendary detective Sherlock Gnomes to solve the case of their missing friends and family.
For our party, I set up a festive table filled with their favorite healthy snacks, such as fruit and veggies cups. I also included other easy snacks, such as cheese puffs/sticks, caramel popcorn, pretzels and cupcakes!
PARTY DECOR
I created two fun garlands to use as our backdrop!

I also designed a Sherlock Gnomes sign for the flower pot and used the figurines provided by Paramount Pictures! as the center of our table!
FOOD PRESENTATION
For the fruit cups, I simply layered blackberries, grapes, watermelon in small plastic cups. I used a cookie cutter to make mini flowers out of honeydew melon and cut blueberries in half for the center. I inserted the cute fruit flower with a toothpic, then I sprinkled the fruit cups with chia seeds. Super cute idea to get the excited about their snacks!
I also made “toadstools” using raspberries and marshmallows. They were my daughter’s favorite!
For the veggie cups and cupcakes, I embellished them with Sherlock Gnomes Character cupcake toppers. I designed a free download so you can create your own! (See end of this post for all the party printables)
To carry on the theme, I displayed easy snacks in terracotta pots and finished the look by adding printable garden labels (also available as free download). Note: Make sure you cover the terracotta pot before placing the food inside of it.
REFRESHMENTS
Pink lemonade is always a hit. Make it extra fun by adding frozen berries and serve it in a pitcher. I designed ‘Gnome Juice’ juice labels for soda bottles and completed the look by adding fun paper straws and mini felt gnome hats (see tutorial below)
TABLE SETTINGS
I used a grass placemat and topped with plates and mini garden baskets. If you have guests over, the basket can be used for take-home favors (See activity/party favor idea next)
KIDS ACTIVITY/PARTY FAVORS
The kids had fun creating their own terrarium using moss, mini garden figurines, such as gnomes and toadstools.
If you are inviting guests, add a ‘Thank you’ tag to the terrarium jars to create the perfect take-home favors!

This is too cute! I have a slight obsession with gnomes… My best friend and I stole one and carried it around Europe once, then returned it with pictures, and ever since then people are always giving me gnomes. I’ll have to invest in some little Sherlock Gnomes to make sure my own gnomes don’t get stolen!
