Hello, friends!
The other day I had the pleasure of helping Amanda Barkley with her daughter’s birthday party set up. Amanda is an amazing floral designer here in San Antonio and we live about only five minutes away from each other. How fun is that? I am no pro, but I had so much fun taking pictures of her Festive Llama Llama Birthday Party Taco Bar! to celebrate sweet Mallory’s 12th birthday!
Amanda was inspired by the fun Target llama plates and this adorable Llama/Alpaca Pinata. Luckily, they were in Mallory’s favorite colors, pink and green, which set the mood for the rest of the decor.
The fabulous backdrop was made using plastic tables cloths cut into strips that Amanda looped onto a wood trellis. She then added 12, 9 and 5-inch air filled balloons using fishing line and created the top garland. After which she filled in the holes with honeycomb balls and ribbons.
“Having a Taco bar is a great option for those picky eaters, and for those who need gluten-free or lactose-free! For me, it meant not being a slave to the kitchen because everything was pre-made and just set-up for self-serve!”, says Amanda.
Amanda simply ordered a perfectly pink buttercream cake at her local bakery and neatly adorned it with artificial succulents.
Sprite is Mallory’s favorite drink, so Amanda made sure to have plenty of mini cans available!
“Our favorite part of putting together a party is almost always the favor bags. And these were no exception. We bought anything girlie with an Alpaca or cactus theme and added lots of pink and green candy. Drop into a cellophane bag, tied with pink ribbon and tulle and easy peasy!”, says Amanda.
We hope you enjoyed this adorable Llama Birthday Party! Thank you Amanda for having me!
