Hello, friends! Cinco de Mayo is here which means it’s time for tacos, chips and guac! Who’s with me?
Cinco de Mayo is today, on Taco Tuesday!! How fun is that? Not that we need an excuse to eat tacos. When you live in San Antonio, tacos are part of your weekly meal plan!
For our Cinco de Mayo celebration, I decorated our space with a beautiful hand painted papel picado banner, jazzed up plain cupcakes with mini flags and set up a festive tablescape for the kids!
You don’t have to do anything over the top. I like to focus on the memories we can create as a family.
No time to bake something special? No probem. Simply dress up store bought treats with mini papel picado flags. They add instant fun!
Let’s not forget the maracas and Mexican sombreros. They make wonderful party ops. The kids loved playing and posing for pictures!
For the kids table, I layered solid plates with the cutest Frida plates! A papel picado runner in lime green added the perfect pop of color!
Let’s talk about the custom terracotta place cards? Aren’t they just the cutest things ever? In love with them!
If you like to decorate for Cinco de Mayo, you should go for it. Just because we are still in quarantine, it doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun. I think we deserve all the fun we can have!
Happy Cinco de Mayo, friends!
