This post is in partnership with Black Twine and Slumberkins. Twinkle Twinkle Little Party was compensated to share ideas on how to host a Magical Unicorn inspired Woodland Party featuring their adorable Unicorn Slumberkin. However, Andressa only promotes products she loves and would use them herself.
Hello, friends!
I am SO excited to share this adorable party with you today. Not too long ago, I was introduced to Slumberkins and their Authenticity Snuggler Bundle. Of course my daughter and I fell in love with it instantly. The Unicorn Slumberkin and book are absolutely precious! What do I love about it? This is not just another adorable plush, it’s a plush with a purpose. This bundle gives us parents the opportunity to deepen the bond with our children while teaching valuable social-emotional life skills, such as authenticity, bravery, and friendship. If you have a little one at home, I encourage you check their Instagram page and get inspired, my friends!
The Unicorn Slumberkin was the inspiration for this Magical Woodland Theme. It’s been a while since I worked with rustic elements, so it was fun to plan and incorporate pretty and creative ideas that would be doable for you, mamas!
Ready to get the party started?
Set up a woodland inspired dessert station
Set up a dessert station with woodland inspired sweets, such as mushroom cupcakes in soft colors and donut holes turned into adorable hedgehogs using melted chocolate and sprinkles. To bring the rustic theme to life, display some of your goodies on thick tree slices. Just make sure the slices are cleaned and kiln dried (not chemically treated).
Tall cake stands in pastel colors add height to your dessert station, so be sure to incorporate them as well.
To complete the look, use a fresh garland as your backdrop.
A naked cake is perfect for a woodland themed celebration for adding a natural touch. Simply adorn it with a DIY felt bunting and spray painted unicorn & mushroom miniatures you can find at your local craft store.
Custom cookies are one of my favorite things! These watercolor cookies designed based off of Slumberkins illustrated book were the talk of the party.
Set up a separate table for the kids
Setting up a separate table for the kids to enjoy cake and other sweet treats is always a great idea.

Use large tree slices as chargers and layer natural round plates in different sizes for more texture. I used 9 inches plates and 6 inches plates. Impress your guests with adorable felt woodland animal crowns.
Set up a magical reading nook
Set up and decorate a teepee for the kids to snuggle up with their unicorn plushes and enjoy some reading time. Create a magical reading corner by decorating your teepee with string lights, a felt flower wreath and faux greenery garland. Soft pillows, accent rugs and lantern will add a playful touch and get the kids excited.
Special party favors
Slumberkins make the most precious party favors. Simply place them in a basket and attach a thank you tag to send your guests home with something memorable.
