Higgins, Santa Bruce, and it certainly gets us in the Christmas spirit! Bruce may not be Santa, but that doesn’t stop the whole forest from lining up to give him their Christmas wishes when he becomes the victim of mistaken identity – again.

To get you in the holiday spirit and familiarize you with Santa Bruce, I am sharing this easy yet adorable Christmas tablescape that’s the perfect idea for a fun holiday play date for the kids.

These adorable bear plates are just perfect for this tablescape! I was also inspired by the forest creatures from the book so when I saw these adorable crackers, I knew I had to include them! To add a holiday touch, incorporate Christmas baubles and Be Merry paper cups in assorted colors and napkins.

For a kids play date, you don’t really need to go overboard with food and drinks. Keep it simple and easy. Host the play date after lunch time so you can have an excuse to let the kids enjoy a few sweet treats, such as cupcakes, chocolate truffles and chocolate mint cookies.

For easy yet pretty presentation ideas, dress up simple cupcakes with adorable cupcake toppers, place truffles in a bowl covered with a holiday napkin and spruce up paper cups with birch tree straws and chocolate mint cookies.

For some quiet time, invite the kids to read Santa Bruce together. You can even make it cozy by serving hot cocoa by the fireplace if you have one.
