Hello, friends!
When Karrie of Posh Paperie contacted me to share her baby girl’s Sweet Pony Themed 1st Birthday Party, I was smitten. A pony theme is so sweet for a 1st birthday, isn’t it? I am loving the sweet girly details and all the delicious food!
Karrie and her business partner, Elizabeth, are the creative ladies behind Posh Paperie. They designed this precious Pony invitation suite and coordinating printables, which inspired all the details of this darling party!
Karrie went for a soft color palette of blush pink, yellow, and maize. She made sure some of the pinks were super sparkly as well! Come May, this can be the perfect inspiration for a Derby Themed Birthday Party!
For the dessert table backdrop, Karrie incorporated ruffled crepe paper in coordinating colors for a frilly & girly touch. It was the perfect addition to the beautiful wreath and foil letter balloons!
Gorgeous florals finished the look of the dessert table. The metal trophy used as a vase is definitely a brilliant idea to carry on the theme.
The cake and cupcakes looked beautiful. The buttercream roses in soft coordinating colors are what dreams are made of.
Horseshoes were made using swirly marshmallows and neatly packaged in clear bags complete with pony favor tags!
As take-home favors, clear bags were filled with fun goodies, such as punch balls, a ‘Melissa and Doug’ horse, and a set of horse stickers.
A drink station was set up outdoors. Kids enjoyed fresh squeezed lemonade served in trophy cups while adults were treated to mint juleps served in personalized Posh Paperie cups.
The lucky guests enjoyed chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, deviled eggs, watermelon, potato salad and of course, pb+j for the kids!
The little guests had fun racing down the street on their handmade ponies and playing ‘Pin the Tail on the Pony’ game!
No party is complete without a pinata. A unicorn pinata was turned into a Pony pinata and it was the perfect addition to all the fun details!
Judging by little Colette’s sweet smile, I think she approved her 1st birthday party!
Thank you so much Elizabeth and Karrie for sharing this sweet party with me!
