Today we are sharing a fun and easy recipe on how to make these yummy popcorn balls! I made them for our Oscars Party (next post!) and thought to myself….why not share with my lovely readers? It’s super easy to make! You can place them on a cake stand or you can just skip the sticks and put them in a pretty clear jar!
Here’s what you will need:
- 1 bag of microwave popcorn
- 1 bag of mini marshmallows
- 2 tbs butter
- cooking spray or butter (for rolling the balls)
- lollipops sticks or paper straws (if you want popcorn ball pops)
Directions:
Pop the popcorn bag in the microwave following the directions found on the bag. Place popped popcorn in a large bowl. Set aside.
In a large pot, melt marshmallows and butter. Stir constantly over medium- low heat.
Pour the melted marshmallows over popcorn. Combine well to evenly coat the popcorn. Let it cool until it’s safe to roll.
Spray or butter your hands to roll the balls. Place prepared balls on wax paper.
Insert a stick in each popcorn ball while they are still warm. I sprinkled the balls with some of these pretty silver stars but because because of the color, we can’t see them very well. I should try with dark chocolate next time!
