Morning, friends!
It’s hard to believe Easter is over, right? I hope you had a wonderful time with your loved ones yesterday! We had an amazing time celebrating Him! Sharing some details on our following post!
The night before, my husband and I went to bed late because we wanted to get our kids’ Easter baskets and Decorating stations ready. I also wanted to set up the table for our breakfast as I am completely aware our mornings can be a little chaotic trying to bathe, dress and finally feed our children. When they wake up, they WAKE UP. They are not the most patient kids in the world and expect to be fed right away (I think they got that from mommy *wink *wink)
When the kids woke up, our little boy was beyond excited to see a a breakfast table already set and of course, the Easter baskets filled with goodies was the highlight! Our 14 month old doesn’t quite understand yet what was going on.
I knew they would be going to some Easter Egg Hunts and consequently, they would come back home with their baskets full of candies. Not to mention, grandma sent a box filled with sweets as well. Having said that, I only included some of their favorite things and very minimal candies.
For our 14 month old daugther, I added super cute Bunny PJ’s I found on sale, a book, her favorite Plum Organics fruit/veggie pouches and Apple Carrot Mighty Sticks (baked whole grain snacks baked with fruit & veggies)
Four our 5 year old boy, I included his favorite Annie’s Homegrown producs, such as Mac & Cheese and Bunny Cookies + Plum Organics fruit/veggie pouch for bigger kids. I also included a shirt, a Pete the Cat book, plastic helicopters (he played with those pretty much all day!), peeps, egg decorating kit and some jelly beans.
The stuffed bunnies, my mother-in-law who lives in Naples, FL went to a book signing and purchased the boy & girl books (right behind the baskets) and the character bunnies for each one. Aren’t they cute? They are also so soft …
I decorated this station with a custom banner by my sweet friend Candace of LillyPaul Designs! She has a fabulous Etsy shop, which offers custom fabric garlands. Visit her shop here! She can match any theme you can imagine!
What goodies do you normally add to your kids’ baskets? I would love to hear!
Following post – our Easter Breakfast and how we entertain the kids with a fun Decorating Station! Check back later!
