If you are hosting Thanksgiving this year, setting up a separate table for the kids is always a great idea. You can make it easy and fun with a few DIY decor ideas and store bought treats.
- CREATE A GRATITUDE TURKEY
I have been meaning to create a gratitude turkey for a long time. It’s a fun idea that doubles as table decor and kids activity. The kids can have fun writing on turkey feathers made out construction paper.
Note: Step-by-step to create the Gratitude Turkey coming soon.
- SELECT THANKSGIVING THEMED PARTYWARE
This time of the year, you will find adorable kids Thanksgiving partyware everywhere. To complete the kids tablescape, be sure to incorporate festive plates, cups and napkins.
- DIY TURKEY LEGS FOR THE KIDS’ PLACE SETTINGS
There are a lot of turkey leg versions available on Pinterest using paper bags. I wanted to add my own twist by creating them using tissue paper in the colors to match my party decor. You can fill them up with goodies, such as candies and mini toys. They make the perfect touch to each kid’s place setting! Tutorial coming next!
- OPT FOR STORE BOUGHT TREATS
Hosting Thanksgiving dinner can be very time consuming. Don’t be afraid of incorporating a few store bought treats to save yourself some time. Seasonal treats are readily available at local supermarkets this year, such as mini pumpkin pies and apple spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Yummy!
- Last but not least, GET GIFTING!
If you are going to spend Thanksgiving at a friend’s or relative’s house, show appreciation for your hostess by gifting him/her a wonderful Vanilla gift card. Who doesn’t like the convenience of getting a gift card? It’s the perfect way to say how thankful you are for welcoming you into their homes to share such a special holiday.
We are helping you to dress up your Vanilla gift card with this adorable printable pumpkin pie gift card holder. Simply download the file and print on white cardstock. It fits in a 4×6 envelope.
Happy planning, my friends!
