Hello, friends!
It’s hard to believe Summer is over! I hope you had a fantastic time!
To celebrate the end of Summer, I put together a simple set up for my little ones (and for my husband who loves sweets). If you are planning on hosting a party to say bye bye to Summer and if you love Flamingos, I hope you can use some of our simple ideas! All you need is a cake, cupcakes and some few treats and supplies from your local party store to recreate this look! Easy peasy!
Create this look by following these simple steps:
1. INVITATION:
A fun invitation sets the tone for the occasion. Get your guests excited with this Watercolor Flamingo design! You can either have them printed at home or local print shop. Running out of time? Invite your guests via email by sending this design in digital form. Click here to purchase yours!
2. BACKDROP:
Add a festive trendy backdrop! Feeling crafty? Make a colorful tissue paper tassel garland (tutorial here) and incorporate these trendy gold mylar balloons. These balloons have been so popular lately and the best thing is: they are really inexpensive!
3. CAKE
On a budget but would like to have a cake that looks pretty and tastes yummy, too? You can either make your own if you are good at baking and decorating or order it from your local bakery. This watercolor cake design was inspired by Sweetapolita.
4. CUPCAKES
Dress up simple store bought cupcakes. Cute cupcake liners, pretty sprinkles and long birthday candles – that’s all you need to turn them into eye-catching party sweets!
5. DIY PARTY HATS
Celebrate in style with these fun coordinating watercolor party hats. Click here to download your free template and make your own!
6. OTHER FUN IDEAS
Get the kids excited! Put together individual little party kits including party hats, noisemakers, candyfetti poppers and coordinating sugar cookies that perfectly match the invitation design.

No party is complete without party confetti. Make your own colorful confetti and put together fun confetti bags for your guests using our free “Toss me” tags. Instructions here.
I hope you get inspired to host your own end of Summer Celebration!
