Hello, friends! Today I am sharing a super cute DIY Citrus Baby Shower Favor idea that doubles as a place card! It’s the perfect idea for a summer inspired tablescape! I just recently styled a “A Little Cutie is on the way” Baby Shower around this adorable Minted invitation design and it totally inspired me to add a sweet and whimsical touch to my set up.
Isn’t this Baby Shower Invitation just precious? It’s the perfect theme to welcome a summer baby!
Instead of just adding a cutie to each place setting, I decided to neatly wrap it in fabric. It’s an idea I have done years ago when I was still an event planner in Tampa Bay. It’s a popular way to dress up truffles for parties in my country (Brazil), so I decided to apply the same concept but for wrapping cuties instead.
Looks super cute, right?
If you would like to make your own, all you need is a few supplies. It really is very easy and inexpensive.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- fabric of your choice
- wired faux leaves *you can find them at your local craft store (floral department)
- mini rubber bands or baker’s twine
- clementines
- scissors
STEP 1: Using fabric of your choice, cut a square to fit your clementine.
STEP 2: Place your clementine in the center with fabric print facing down.
STEP 3: Hold the 4 corners together and tie them with rubber band or baker’s twine.
STEP 4: Attach faux leaf by tying the wire around the rubber band.
STEP 5: Repeat as many times as you need.
Don’t they look too cute? Now it’s time to add a special touch to each place setting. Your guests will definitely be thrilled!
