Hello, friends!
Valentine’s Day is almost here! We are excited to share our Valentine’s Day Donut Party with you today!
This set up can be recreated not only for Valentine’s, but also for birthday parties, play dates or simply because you love donuts and parties! As you may have noticed, I love simple yet pretty details. Details I know my followers will be able to recreate in no time without requiring days of preparation.
Since this was a Valentine’s Day Donut themed party. We needed pretty donuts. The mini & baked kind! I used my Nostalgia Electrics donut machine (yes, donut machine!) once again to make pretty and yummy mini donuts. The recipe I used was from their manual/recipe book. They turned out so delicious! No words to describe how much my family loves this machine. Not to mention, it’s a fun Valentine’s day gift too! Do you know someone who is a donut lover? I think you just found the perfect gift! See details here on how you can get your own.
After baking and decorating your donuts, arrange them on a pretty cake stand or platter for a fun presentation.
The Bakers Party Shop provided all the amazing Valentine’s Day sprinkles. Their shop is filled with beautiful party supplies! The two ladies behind it are the sweetest people! When I contacted them, it was last minute, but they went above and beyond to help me out. Beautiful sprinkles at my doorstep in less than 48 hours. They are perfect for baking/decorating celebrations. They make amazing take-home favors as well. Look at their super cute containers!
For take home favors, use mini baskets or gift boxes. Fill them up with Valentine’s day goodies you think your guests will love! We did lots of donut decorating and of course my kids wanted to eat their creations right away. I made milk available to pair with their mini donuts and they also received a mini heart lollipop.
Set up a simple dessert station. Don’t be afraid to use store bought desserts if you are running out of time. Of course you want to serve your guests something delicious. Buy plain desserts and dress them up for the occasion. Presentation is also the key!
I simply baked Vanilla cupcakes, frosted and decorated them with mini “donuts” I made them using toasted cereal. So cute! I finished the look by adding mini dessert flags (see tutorial next).

Serve hot white chocolate to your special guests. For a cute presentation, put together heart shaped marshmallow kebobs. Aren’t they precious?
For the marshmallow kebobs, mini dessert flags, spoons just follow the easy tutorials below:
Candies deserve a cute presentation, too! Place them in cute mini pails to get the kids excited. Just make sure the little ones don’t have access to candies when the parents are not around. Safety is also important when you host an event.
Coordinating balloons, tissue tassel garland are inexpensive ideas and add such a special touch to any set up!
We used paper treat bags and attached our printable donut tag to each one to make a fun garland. Your guests can grab a mini bag and fill them up with candies and mini donuts to take home!
You can also make a donut garland using our Donut tags. See the tutorial here!
I hope you use some of our ideas to celebrate this sweet holiday! It’s one of my favorites! I love to see all the beautiful treats at the stores this time of the year and get so inspired!
Watching these two together melt my heart. They love each other so much!
Cheers!
