I scream, You scream, We all scream for Ice Cream!
Nothing like kicking off Summer with a casual ice cream bar set up in your own backyard. And since 4th of July is less than a month away, why not combine both themes and celebrate this beautiful nation in style?
PARTY DECOR
Keeping the decor simple is the key. Before purchasing new party decorations, make sure you check your inventory for pieces you already have. String lights for example, offer that summer decor feeling everybody loves.
ICE CREAM FLAVORS AND PRESENTATION
Stick to the basics and serve the standard Vanilla flavor, especially if you are making all types of different toppings available. Keeping the warm weather in mind, adding a refreshing flavor, such as pineapple, can be a wonderful option. Try this homemade fresh pineapple ice cream recipe. Promise your guests will love!
If you are setting up your ice cream bar outdoors, make sure you display your ice cream in a bucket filled with ice.
WAFFLE CONES AND BOWLS
Waffle cones and bowls are fun, crunchy and delicious. For a fun presentation (and to keep them fresh) you can display them in clear containers with lids. To add some height to your set up, place containers on cake pedestals.
TOPPINGS
When it comes to toppings, the possibilities are endless. If the party is just for your family, you can keep the choices small. If you are a hosting a much bigger event, adding a large variety of toppings will definitely excite your guests.
DRINKS
Water is important to keep your guests hydrated, but you can absolutely serve other refreshments. And since it’s 4th of July, you can’t go wrong with fruit punch in patriotic colors.
OTHER DETAILS
Add extra fun by displaying spoons, straws and drink stirrers in patriotic jars.
OTHER SWEETS
To tie in the ice cream theme, dress up your cupcakes with fun toppers and display them in ice cream waffle bowls.
HAVE FUN!
And most importantly, have fun and create memories with your loved ones this summer!
