I am so excited to be teaming up with Blue Bunny® to show you how you can set up a simple yet fun Ice Cream Bar to help you and friends beat the heat! To get the party started, I stopped by my local Walmart to shop for Blue Bunny Ice cream. Have you seen the new packaging? With the super inviting new clear packaging, you can see all the swirls and mix-ins. I am completely in love! It was hard to pick a favorite! After staring at the freezer for a few minutes, I settled for Blue Bunny® Homemade Vanilla, Blue Bunny® Mocha Me Hoppy, Blue Bunny® Super Chunky Cookie Dough and Blue Bunny® Vanilla Cupcake. My kids immediately wanted to claim them all! Can you blame them?

Well, there’s no ice cream without fun toppings! I love the convenience of picking up ready-to-use ice cream toppings at the supermarket. While at Walmart, I also picked my family’s favorite Smucker’s spoonable Hot Fudge and Caramel!

EASY PARTY DECOR

I quickly set up an ice cream bar in my living room area. After I selected my favorite ice cream flavors, I was inspired by Blue Bunny’s new packaging colors – beige, brown and gold. I decided to DIY an ice cream garland based on these color tones. I loved how they turned out! See easy step-by-step tutorial here.

SIMPLE YET PRETTY DISPLAY

Before you go shopping, try to play with pieces you already have. It saves you time and money. Incorporate fun pieces, such as dessert stands, jars and serving trays.

Display sugar cones in jars with lids to ensure freshness.
Dip and decorate sugar cones for extra fun.
Use a serving tray filled with ice to keep the ice cream from melting.

ICE CREAM TOPPINGS

Since all of the Blue Bunny flavors I selected have mix-ins already, I kept the toppings to a minimum – chocolate sprinkles, maraschiano cherries, chopped walnuts and Smucker’s spoonable hot fudge and Caramel sauce allowing everybody to add just the perfect amount of sweetness.

Blue Bunny® Mocha Me Hoppy™ is a coffee ice cream with hazelnut coffee flavored mocha swirl with cake pieces.

Blue Bunny® Super Chunky Cookie Dough™ is a cookie dough ice cream with cookie dough and chocolate chunks.

Blue Bunny® Vanilla Cupcake™ is a vanilla ice cream with chocolate frosting, cake pieces and rainbow sprinkles.

All of the Blue Bunny flavors are also perfect to create other delicious treats. You can be creative and serve something yummy besides only scooped ice cream. With these two easy recipes, I promise your guests will be asking you to host more ice cream parties!

RECIPE 1: Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwiches

Allow ice cream to soften slightly for easy scooping.
Scoop a generous amount of Blue Bunny® Homemade Vanilla™ on one cookie.
Gently place another cookie on top.
Place ice cream sandwiches in the freezer until ice cream is firm again.

RECIPE 2: Salted Caramel Milkshake

This milkshake is always a big hit among my family and friends. Make them in 5 minutes with only 3 ingredients! (See step by step below)

INGREDIENTS

1 pint Blue Bunny® Homemade Vanilla™
1 teaspoon sea salt mixed in with 1/4 cup Smucker’s Caramel Sauce
1/2 cup whole milk
Maraschiano cherries, nuts and whipped cream for garnish (Optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Gather your ingredients.
In a blender, add ice cream.
Then, milk.
Mix sea salt and caramel together and pour in to the blender.
Blend until well combined.
Garnish with your favorite toppings. Serve immediately.
