Hi, friends!
Summer arrived in Boise in full force! Today it was 106 degrees!! Can you believe it? We moved from Florida a year ago and we think it’s crazy we are dealing with the same type of heat or worse (minus the humidity) here in Idaho.
We planted some lavender in our front yard last Summer and it looks so pretty now!
I had to find a way to enjoy our lavender considering this is our last weekend at his place before we move to a new home.
My husband was prepping our dinner, so I decided to make some refreshing lavender lemonade.
The recipe I found via One Kings Lane.
Ingredients:
Makes 10 servings
2 cups sugar
7 sprigs lavender (stems and buds), plus a few additional sprigs for garnish
2 cups fresh lemon juice (from about 10 lemons)
1/2 cup fresh lime juice (from about 4 limes)
Directions:
In a large saucepan, bring one gallon of water and the sugar to a boil. Remove from heat, and add 7 lavender sprigs along with the lemon and lime juices all together in the pot.
Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then strain and chill.
Once the lemonade is sufficiently chilled, serve on ice in your favorite glassware and add the additional sprigs of lavender for garnish.
I hope you are enjoying a much cooler weather! If not, make some refreshing lavender lemonade. You will love it!
xoxo,
Andressa
