A Sweet Safari Adventure 1st Birthday Party

So excited to share this beyond adorable party submitted by Bethany, creator & designer of Sweet Georgia Sweet. She styled this sweet Safari Adventure themed party to celebrate her little boy’s 1st birthday. I am loving all the darling details beautifully captured by Party of 7 Photography!

Since Mommy, Daddy, and big brother have all been on a safari in the heart of Africa, baby brother needed to join in on the adventure too! So Bethany decided to focus on a family adventure by incorporating travel items, safari animals, and authentic African pieces to create a vintage feel for this little soiree. Let’s not forget to mention the beautiful soft color palette of mint, mauve with fun pops of gold.

“Carrying the theme and decorations into our living room was lots of fun. I pulled together antique books, safari animals, lanterns, and an authentic African drum to draw together the many aspects of this fun theme. I also used some photos of the birthday baby; tying in those photos provided such a sweet, personalized touch. A Happy Birthday banner with little giraffes hung from the mantle. Hanging above the mantle was a First Birthday Board complete with all of Oliver’s interests & favorite things. This was a fun way to celebrate our little boy’s spunky personality.” – Bethany

The guest table was set with individual lunch boxes tied with safari themed tags. Milk was served in French square bottles and water bottles with personalized birthday labels. The table centerpieces included an authentic carved African elephant and white textured burlap topiaries all atop a burlap and linen ruffle table runner. On each guest’s chair hung a cotton candy filled paper cone. And for party favors, guests enjoyed treats in little vintage suitcases.
