I have been meaning to do a candy corn party set up for the kids for a long time now and I finally did it! For a fun twist, I decided to go with a pastel color palette rather than the classic colors.
By the way, did you know today is National Candy Corn Day? True story!!
I turned two off white craft pumpkins into candy corn pumpkins and used them as my focal point.
To create a candy corn pumpkin is quick and easy. All you need is:
- White craft pumpkin
- Paint brushes and cups
- Acrylic paints in orange, white and yellow
- Tape (optional)
I painted the bottom of my pumpkin in yellow and allowed it to dry by placing my pumpkin upside down on top of a small bowl. Once it was completely dry, I painted the mid-section. I mixed white and orange to achieve the peach tone.
I just love how they turned out. What do you guys think? If you prefer the classic colors, please go for it! My daughter was so smitten by them!
For my party backdrop, I used a beautiful custom fringe in candy corn inspired pastel colors with a pop of baby blue. I created a color block balloon garland and added fall leaves to add more texture to it.
I created the fall leaves using light pastel cardstock and my cutting machine.
You know I absolutely love to have coordinating cookies for my parties. So in love with these candy corn cookie designs. Aren’t they precious?
My daughter has the biggest sweet tooth. She couldn’t wait to get her hands on one of them!
