Hello, friends!
I am so excited to announce I was selected by Evite to participate of their Annual Top Party Pro Competition. I am thrilled to be among their four hand-selected stylists to be crowned the new Evite Party Pro 2015!
I was expected to style a Pre-school Graduation Party around their adorable “One Smart Cookie” Graduation Party evite. I had a week to plan and execute. Needless to say, it was a busy yet fun week!
Guess what? You can host your own “One Smart Cookie” party and use the same adorable design for free! Click here or on the image below to create your own!! See some images of our celebration that you can also use for your own party!
This theme was the perfect project for me as my little boy is currently in pre-school and will be starting Kindergarten in September. I invited three of his classmates to participate of the shoot. Needless to say, they were beyond excited. It really was like a real celebration!
For this shoot, I worked with the main colors of the One Smart Cookie Evite and also incorporated some blue for a pop of color .
The dessert station consisted of a fun two-tiered cake adorned with mini sandwich chocolate chip cookies, cookie dough cake pops, cookies & cream parfaits, assorted cookies, Pirouettes displayed as school diplomas, chocolate cupcakes frosted with cookies & cream and chocolate buttercream. To finish the dessert table look I displayed “nerd cookies” on mini easel boards complete with graduation hats.
Milk was served in mini bottles with straws embellished with mini diplomas. How cute are they? Bigger bottles were labeled with chalkboard stickers. The guests had a choice of 1%, 2% and Chocolate Milk! I also made long tassels to decorate the bottles.
I also displayed gumballs and sixlets in candy jars and clear tubes filled with gumballs adorned with DIY graduation hats – video tutorial available on Evite (ideas.evite.com)
Each child had an assigned seat. The kids table was decorated with milk bottles, squared paper plates in two different sizes and colors, wooden utensils neatly placed in cute paper bags and napkins wrapped to mimic diplomas.
In addition to the place setting, each child received a “paint your own cookie” kit, which consisted of a stenciled cookie with paint swashes. Each cookie was placed in a white cookie box with a paint brush attached. It was the perfect activity for their age. It was fun, easy and quick!
It really was an exciting day! The little graduates had a ton of fun taking pictures with photo prop chalkboard signs wearing their custom “One Smart Cookie” shirts and also beautiful blue graduation caps and gowns!
I hope you enjoyed our Pre-School Graduation Party. A special thank you to Evite for this amazing opportunity and also to my vendors who shipped the products for this fun shoot so promptly!
