Morning, friends!
This the 3rd and last part of our Family Easter posts! You can see the 1st part (Easter Basket Ideas) and 2nd part (Easter Breakfast and Kids Decorating Station)
This was our first Easter in Boise. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since we moved from Florida where we lived for over 10 years! We used to celebrate Easter at my in-laws’ house in Naples, FL. Nana was always so sweet and thoughtful. She used to put together an Easter Egg Hunt for her one and only grandson every year. If you ask our son about Easter, he will go on and on and on about the Easter Egg Hunt at his Nana’s.
It’s sad to say we are far from our family, but at the same time, it’s nice to be creating our own traditions with our little ones.
My husband and I wanted a quiet Easter that’s for sure. We took the kids to an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday and we celebrated Him at home on Sunday with a family breakfast, Easter basket, activities for the kids and easy Easter dinner. We explained to our boy why we celebrate Easter.
I set up the table using what I had around the house. My favorite dinner plates, fun large nests and salad plates.
My husband made a simple dinner – ham, steamed veggies and mashed potatoes. Simple as that!
For dessert, we enjoyed Cheryl’s Easter goodies – sugar cookies, whoopie pies and pretzel clusters.
Orange juice as per our little boy’s request
I used candies to decorate the table and other Easter elements – a bunny candy holder and nest filled with colorful eggs.
