I am excited to share with you today this fun Kids Holiday Cookie Decorating Party I styled for Black Twine. A holiday party in which you can keep the little ones engaged is the best kind of party, in my opinion. You can make this a holiday tradition, something the kids will look forward to every year! The best part? They get to enjoy their own creations at the party or take a batch home with them.
To make the decorating station super fun and festive, I made a balloon ornament centerpiece following the tutorial by Oh, Happy Day. I also made a garland for the dessert station using 5″ balloons.
COOKIE DECORATING ESSENTIALS
Each kid received a mini basket filled with holiday sugar cookies ready to be decorated. A variety of candies, sprinkles, icing bags and gel pens, mini spatulas were available for the kids to get their creative juices flowing.
TIP: Make sure there are extra cookies available. They can get into a non-stop decorating mode!
There’s something about a bag of icing the kids get excited instantly. So cute!
The kids made super adorable reindeer cookies to match the reindeer cake. I decorated some in advance for them to visualize.
After all the decorating, a festive tablescape for the kids to enjoy their sweet treats and hot cocoa is a wonderful thing!
The dessert station was kept simple with our DIY Reindeer Cake taking center stage. If you would like to recreate it, just follow our simple DIY REINDEER CAKE tutorial!
No Holiday Party is complete without a hot cocoa bar. Read more about on how you can set up an easy yet pretty Merry & Bright Hot Cocoa Station here.
I hope you get inspired to recreate this Kids Holiday Decorating Party and start a new holiday tradition with your little ones!
